Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

Welcome to the last Happy Little Stampers Chrismas Challenge before the big day itself!

As always it is Anything Goes with an optional twist, and this month it is Snow.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

As usual I used the optional twist and the faux vellum technique. Instead of leavine the image on the Kraft card I cut the bauble out and added it to a cream die cut panel.

I have to say I love these Crealies dies with the open scallop edge.

I hope you'll be able to join in the fun this month, and if you need inspiration make sure you check out all my teamies fabulous makes.

Stencil Stories

Nandini has chosen this fortnight's challenge at Make My Monday. It is to use stencil techniques for either the background or main image on your project.  A couple of year's ago the faux parchment technique was very popular, and I made quite a few cards using the technique on Kraft card. I decide to try it on dark blue this time.

I added white shimmer paint to the cabin and trees, then topped it with glitter. After all you can't have too much glitter at Christmas can you?

Do pop over to see all the other fab inspiration from my fellow teammates.

More Faux Vellum

After making this card I salvaged the bauble from th one where i had made a very inky smudge and mounted onto some glitter card from the snippets box, and onto a piece of backing paper in a taupe colour which was also a snippet. Yes I know they are large snippets but it is time i visited Miss Di again at the Playground.

Then I decided to do another one in blue, and used Pool Party and Lost Lagoon ink.

I cant decide whether I like the kraft or the blue best.

Rudolph Day - September

Well here we are at Rudolph Day again, and I dont want to frighten you but there's only another two before Christmas! For my card I used the faux vellum technique from Inkylicious.

I had seen a few of these in blogland so went to their website to see how to make it and found instructions, but they also sold a kit to make them which just happened to fall into my basket! This was the first one I made and I was really quite pleased with the result.  the second one wasn't quite so succesful, as I tried to make a landscape not quite A5 card with the offcuts. All ws going well till I smudged the white ink, which I couldn't disguise. So at the moment the bauble has been cut out and is waiting for me to be inspired, as to how to use it! I'm also entering this into Make My Monday challenge which is "No Patterned Paper"
