Crazy Birthday!

It was my eldest son's birthday last week and he is interested in birds so his card often reflects this. I decided this year to make it a more fun card with the Crazy Birds.

I pulled out a background I'd made a while ago with brushos and shaving foam. The birds were coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils then cut out with the matching dies. The sentiments are from the coordinating set if stamps which I bought with my gift card from Darnell's NBUS challenge. The birds and balloons all used up snippets of white card so a visit to the Playground is called for!

A Happy Post!

Last week the physios treating Roy came to do a home visit with him to see how he managed in the house and what aids he might need. It was a successful visit and he managed quite well. I just need to have a second handrail put in to help him with the stairs. So after a follow up meeting with the doctor and other medical staff he's coming home tomorrow!!!

I've been busy making a thank you card for the team which I'll show another day. But thought I'd post another card I made some time ago when I first got the Crazy Bird stamps.

I coloured him with Spectrum Noir pencils then fussy cut him out( I didn't have the dies then) and mounted him onto some blue backing paper. It doesn't show up very well in the photo but the smile diecut and mat are yellow. As snippets were use I'm going to head over to the Playground to see what's going on there. I've been away too long.

Crazy Birds and a Special Wedding Anniversary

I started to do this blog post to show a special wedding anniversary card but just as I started the postie arrived so I HAD to show you what he brought.  Aren't they great?? I shall enjoy having a play later!

Anyway this the card that I wanted to show you.

My next door neighbour's parents were celebrating their anniversary a couple of weeks ago so I made this card for them using a Simon Says Stamp monthly kit. As it was a special anniversary I personalised the inside for them.

Isn't that amazing - 62 years of marriage!
