Dynamic Duos #77 and Thank You

Dynamic Duos have a bold and cheery colour combo this week, Real Red and Bermuda Bay. I decide to have a change from Christmas cards as that seems to be all I've been making recently - must have nearly got enough now!

I did find this colour combination a bit tricky but eventually came up with this as a thank you card. You never know I might need it after Christmas!!

Card Recipe: Cardstock Bermuda Bay and Real Red
Ink pads: Real Red and Bermuda Bay
Stamp Set: Oh Hello.

You can purchase  all these items from my online store.

You can order from my online shop at anytime  or email  if you prefer the personal touch .

Shades of Grey!

The challenge this week at Less is More is shades of grey - fortunately not 50!

I had an idea in my head that I thought would be good but it wasn't on paper! Funny how that happens! So I came up with this instead- a design I've used before but flipped it this time . I think this would work quite well as a man's card.

Recipe:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate
Ink: Basic Grey
Stamp Sets: Oh, Hello, Bring on the Cake

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

Tday is Ardyth's birthday. I first came across her blog from doing some challenge cards and she was hosting a blog aniversary party for Darnell. Today She is doing something similar for Ardyth. As the saying goes" what goes around, comes around!" So here is my birthday card for Ardyth, who is a big fan of CAS and loves rainbow colours.

I'm not sure why it looks narrower at the bottom than at the top - I can assure you it is a square! Ihave used the "Oh,Hello" stamp set again. I didn't buy this one at first as I wan't sure I liked it but since I took the plunge I've used it a lot! The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.  I was in two minds about adding it as I was sure I'd end up messing it up!  The card will also fit in with One Layer Wdnesday as Ardyth is hosting a birthday challenge there! (Haven't been able to link there as Linky tool gone missing!)

Marker colours used: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie,
                                       Gumball Green

LIM week 118 - Colour Challenge

This week there is a colour challenge at Less is More " This month we would like you to choose TWO opposite colours from this Colour Wheel"

I opted for blue-green and red-orange so I hope Island Indigo and Calypso Coral fit the bill!

I added some paper piercing to add a bit of interest to the oval which was stamped with the Oh Hello stamp set. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Pink and Girly

The Dynamic Duo challenge this week is monochromatic pinks. So the card had to be "girly" didn't it?

I started off with a Pretty in Pink card base then I embossed a piece of white card with the  Petals a Plenty embossing folder and lightly ran a Regal Rose ink pad over it to highlight the flowers, mounted it onto Crumb Cake and added some seam binding. The patterned oval was stamped with Regal Rose and mounted on  Pretty in Pink oval. The flowers were stamped in pretty in Pink and Regal Rose and the small flower was stamped onto the butterfly wings.  A doily and some pearls finished it off.
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Stamp sets: Oh Hello, Everything Eleanor, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake
Other: Crumb Cake seam binding, Pearls, Elegant Butterfly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, Paper doilies, Word Window punch, Petals-a-Plenty EF.

Less is more - Frame it!

I actually made this quite early on this week bit have only just got round to uploading it!

A very simple card but I was quite pleased with it as for once what I had imagined was what ended up made, and that doesn't often happen. I cut a frame with the oval framelits then ran it through the embossing folder. The rose was coloured with markers - Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade.

Less is More - with Freshly Made Sketches

I really didn't think I was going to play along with the Less is More challenge this week as I couldn't think of anything to make with the lovely soft colours of this photo inspiration.

But yesterday I had a "lightbulb" moment and this is what resulted.

And this one will also fit nicely with this week's Freshly Made Sketches.

Stamp sets: Oh, Hello,Spring Sampler, Teeny Tiny Wishes

So made LIM just in time!
